About The Position

Requirements

• Associates degree in any field preferred; preference to education, leadership or business areas of study.
• Three (3) years formal teaching experience in EMS.
• Three years’ work experience in providing prehospital patient care.
• Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat software.
• Current Minnesota and Wisconsin EMT or Paramedic certification –OR- certification in Minnesota or Wisconsin as Paramedic or EMT –AND- eligibility to obtain the other within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary coordinator for basic level continuing education.
• Create material for all BLS education.
• Coordinate with clinical supervisors for quarterly CME and other courses.
• Align content of education to MN, WI, NREMT and other requirements.
• Develop ongoing video-based education content to be recorded by instructors, clinical supervisors and physicians.
• Recruit, schedule and coordinate subject matter expert presentations and content sharing.
• Instruct BLS courses independently and cooperatively with per diem instructors.
• Prepare, replace and clean equipment.
• Encourage, mentor and manage students and assistant instructors in a professional manner.
• Instruct students in didactic and practical education according to course and/or Regions Hospital EMS guidelines.
• Take an active role in education quality assurance and course improvement activities.
