Sales Enablement

AviveSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Avive Solutions, Inc. is a growth stage Automated External Defibrillator (AED) company with a connected response system that is rapidly gaining market share. We are a mission-driven team that is quite literally saving lives. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death in the United States, and we are on a mission to change that! We are a dynamic organization that builds elegant, creative solutions to solve complex problems. Ultimately, our mission is for all cardiac arrest victims to have rapid access to life-saving defibrillation. Avive is taking a fresh approach to addressing this decades-old problem by innovating AED technology, coupled with a first-of-its-kind software platform solution to enable a quicker and more streamlined response to SCA emergencies. We believe that this unique combination of deploying advanced – yet still accessible – hardware, and software, has the potential to revolutionize out-of-hospital cardiac arrest response and massively impact SCA survival rates. We are seeking a full-time Sales Training & Development Manager to join our team and drive excellence across commercial onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development. This is a mission-critical role for an experienced, highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record of building best-in-class sales training programs that translate into exceptional selling skills and measurable performance. The ideal candidate is equal parts program builder, trainer, and coach - someone who thrives on developing people, building relationships, solving problems, and raising the standard of performance across a growing commercial organization. As a critical member of Avive’s sales leadership team, you will own the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of our sales onboarding and training programs for current and future members of the commercial organization. Your mandate will be to ensure that every sales professional has the knowledge, skills, tools, and confidence required to represent Avive exceptionally and succeed in their role. Success in this position requires much more than delivering training. You will build a comprehensive learning and development program from the ground up, establish clear standards for sales readiness and proficiency, identify skill and knowledge gaps across the organization, and develop programs that continually improve the effectiveness of our sales team. You’ll need to be curious, adaptable, coachable, and resilient, with the ability to quickly develop deep expertise in Avive’s products, customers, markets, and sales motion. Most importantly, you should be energized by helping others become exceptional at their craft and inspired by the opportunity to equip our sales professionals to bring life-saving technology to communities across the country.

Requirements

  • Proven Builder: You’ve built and delivered exceptional sales training programs - not simply participated in them.
  • Strategic & Tactical: You’re comfortable moving seamlessly between strategy and execution—designing a curriculum one day, facilitating a training session the next, and coaching an individual seller or working with leadership to solve a performance challenge the day after.
  • Sales Acumen: You bring strong sales acumen and a history of success as a salesperson, alongside exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
  • Passion for growth: Possess a deep passion for developing people and a relentless commitment to raising the bar.
  • Relevant Background: You have experience working in a high-growth environment and supporting complex or consultative sales motions is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • AED & Public Safety knowledge: You have used AEDs professionally or have sold them into Fire/EMS, Police departments, or SLED.

Responsibilities

  • Own commercial onboarding: Design and lead a structured, scalable onboarding program that enables new sales professionals to quickly develop proficiency in Avive’s products, markets, customers, sales processes, systems, and messaging.
  • Build an ongoing learning program: Develop a comprehensive curriculum for continuous sales development, including prospecting, discovery, qualification, product positioning, objection handling, competitive differentiation, negotiation, presentation skills, and closing.
  • Establish standards for sales readiness: Create clear competency frameworks, certifications, assessments, and milestones that define what great looks like across roles and levels of experience.
  • Deliver exceptional training: Facilitate engaging, high-impact live and virtual training sessions, workshops, role-playing exercises, certifications, and other learning experiences.
  • Coach and develop the team: Partner with sales leaders and individual contributors to identify opportunities for improvement and provide targeted coaching that strengthens individual and team performance.
  • Partner with sales leadership: Work closely with commercial leadership to identify performance gaps, emerging needs, and opportunities to improve sales execution.
  • Turn best practices into repeatable programs: Identify what our highest-performing sellers do exceptionally well and translate those behaviors into scalable training, tools, and methodologies.
  • Maintain product and market expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Avive’s technology, clinical value proposition, competitive landscape, customer segments, and evolving go-to-market strategy.
  • Measure effectiveness: Establish metrics to evaluate onboarding effectiveness, training adoption, skill development, time-to-productivity, and the impact of training initiatives on commercial performance.
  • Continuously improve: Regularly evaluate and evolve training content and methodologies based on performance data, feedback, changes in the market, and the needs of a rapidly growing sales organization.
