The Lead Maintenance Technician oversees daily maintenance operations at a multifamily property, ensuring facilities, grounds, and resident amenities are maintained to company standards. This is a hands-on supervisory role that handles work orders, manages apartment make-ready schedules, leads maintenance staff, and identifies issues early to prevent larger repairs. The technician works closely with the Property Management team and serves as an approachable, visible leader for residents and colleagues. The position is onsite at Residences at Park Place in Leawood, Kansas. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with required on-call coverage on a scheduled rotation, including occasional evenings or weekends. Occasional off-site travel to pick up supplies is required. The role is designed as a potential pathway to Area Maintenance and Regional Maintenance roles. Employees are typically considered ready for a next role after consistently demonstrating strong performance for 12 or more months in technical expertise, leadership and team development, operational efficiency and financial accountability, and ownership and sound judgment. Readiness does not guarantee promotion but provides priority consideration for internal advancement opportunities when available.
