About The Position

Requirements

• 2+ years as a maintenance technician
• Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license

• Bucket Certified
• Ohm’s Understanding of Outside Plant
• Knowledge of and experience with Hand or Power Tools

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities listed below independently, assisting department and leadership with the coordination of daily work/preventative maintenance
• Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference
• Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage
• Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment
• Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations
• Complete fiber splicing activities in any routine and/or emergency situations independently
• Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs
• Responsible for providing training, guidance, and mentorship to new Broadband Network Technicians
• Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Other duties as assigned
