About The Position

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record, subject to periodic checks; a commercial license may be required.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work extended periods without relief when responding to priority or emergency situations, including overtime-type assignments; shift work and/or standby on-call duties may be required.
• Ability to use and care for tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to comply with the company uniform dress code and maintain a neat and clean appearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing buildings and installed systems, including machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC.
• Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Replace and repair building finishes, including ceiling tiles, door hardware, and wallpaper; paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate maintenance operations and recommend upgrades or cost-saving opportunities.
• Use and care for tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations and assigned customer service requests.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and preventative maintenance needs.
• Maintain and operate assigned fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment.
• Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, government agency requirements, company directives, and safe work practices.
• Use technology including smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systems.
• Complete required C&W Safety Training annually as scheduled.
• Follow the C&W Uniform Dress Code and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property.
