About The Position
SimTech, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CNC Machinist, Senior to join our SMS Manufacturing Team in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models to produce complex components using CNC mills, lathes, and 5-axis equipment. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and adapting to changing project needs. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in precision machining using CNC mills and lathes.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds or more without assistance.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to support mission-critical operations.
- Proficiency in 5-axis machining, particularly with Fanuc and HAAS control systems.
- At least one year of experience using 2D and 3D CAM software.
- Prior experience working in a prototype or R&D machining environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to manufacture unique, high-precision components.
- Manufacture complex parts using a variety of materials and machining techniques.
- Operate 5-axis and/or mill-turn machines with a high level of proficiency.
- Work independently on a variety of projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
