About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for French and Bambara language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. This is a Travel Only Role. You will be deployed for 4 to 8 weeks at a time and back for 4 to 8 weeks. The role involves accurately translating reports and texts, capturing geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements, and performing both consecutive and occasional simultaneous interpretation. Additionally, candidates will transcribe audio or internet materials with high accuracy and expression, and prepare written reports and briefings. Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, are essential for communication and research.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
  • Ability to pass an advanced English test
  • Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
  • Ability to deploy - active passport - this is a travel only role
  • Minimum five (5) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
  • In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
  • Master use of MS Office and internet research

Responsibilities

  • Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
  • Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
  • Able to interpret accurately. The ability to consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required.
  • Has a good understanding of one of more regional dialects.
  • Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.
  • Must possess computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web
  • Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings
  • Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression.
  • Candidate needs to possess excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports. briefings
