About The Position

CACI is seeking fully cleared Russian language professionals to support government operations under a prime contract in Fairfax, Virginia. The linguist may serve as a team lead or as part of a team supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations. The role involves interpretation, translation, transcription, analysis, reporting, quality control, and management of translated-source databases. The position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately; applicants may also be considered for other CACI positions.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
Ability to pass an advanced English test.
Score ILR Level 3 or higher on the target-language translation test.
At least five years of professional experience conducting translation, transcription, and/or interpretation.
Strong interpretation skills, including the ability to accurately render spoken and written communications clearly, concisely, and appropriately in context.
In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target-language geographical areas.
Mastery of Microsoft Office and internet research.
Willingness to travel on temporary duty to any location.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Previous military experience.
Good understanding of one or more regional dialects.
Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation.
Translate and/or transcribe intermediate- to advanced-level printed materials and audio files into grammatically correct American English. Materials may include technical manuals and foreign-language periodicals.
Analyze and report on translated foreign-language source material.
Provide quality control of junior linguists.
Prepare and update databases of translated source material.
Scan intercepted data and determine whether it is pertinent to mission requirements.
Be willing to travel on temporary duty to any location.
