Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a technical, scientific or medical field (MD, PhD, Pharm D,) preferred, or other Relevant Life Sciences Degree (RN/MS) with Healthcare Specialty required.
  • Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Clear understanding of medical practice, clinical decision making and healthcare systems related to patient care.
  • Ability to interpret key scientific data and translate this information to meet educational and research needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to address educational and research needs through delivery of cutting edge scientific/evidenced based data.
  • Understand the design and execution of research studies.
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in working on multi-disciplinary teams and managing significant volume of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Engage KOLs, HCPs, payers, and other external experts in one-on-one and group scientific exchanges, leveraging strong disease knowledge, healthcare environment awareness, and the Scientific Engagement Model to build robust, long-term peer relationships.
  • Manage a base of 50+ stakeholders, develop and maintain engagement tracking databases, plan day-to-day interactions aligned with Medical Affairs strategy, and execute KOL territory strategies addressing diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Gather, record, and critically evaluate data from stakeholder interactions and published studies to develop key insights that contribute to Sanofi's scientific messages, plans, strategy, and product development.
  • Establish Sanofi's medical presence at scientific congresses and symposia, organize educational meetings, support speaker training, and respond to unsolicited medical information requests within regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Business Development, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs teams to support product positioning, lifecycle evidence planning, compliance needs, and creation of materials following Sanofi and federal policies.
  • Support evidence generation activities including protocol development, pharmacovigilance, effectiveness studies, clinical trial site identification, and ISS submissions through approved processes.
  • Operate independently in complex regulatory environments, manage substantial national/international travel, effectively mediate KOL opinions vs. corporate policy decisions, and ensure non-promotional activity boundaries are respected with commercial partners.
