Fort Bend County is seeking an Investigator for the District Attorney's Office. This role involves conducting timely investigations to prepare cases for trial, assisting prosecutors with case preparation, and evaluating investigative work by law enforcement. The Investigator will locate and interview witnesses and victims, collect and record evidence, and may seize contraband and arrest violators. Responsibilities also include reviewing criminal cases, photographing crime scenes and victims, fingerprinting suspects, providing security and transportation for witnesses, conducting grand jury investigations, and testifying in court. The Investigator will assist in preparing grand jury presentations and courtroom trial materials, copying audio/visual recordings, preparing court exhibits, and serving subpoenas, citations, arrest, and search warrants. Collaboration with the Chief Investigator and outside law enforcement agencies is expected. The role requires effective communication with various agencies and officials, maintaining confidentiality, attending community meetings, and making presentations on topics like gangs.
