About The Position

The Hancock County ESC is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Gifted Intervention Specialist for the 2026-2027 School Year. This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. The deadline to apply is August 1st or until filled. The start date is to be determined in August. The building/district location is also to be determined. The Gifted Intervention Specialist will work with identified gifted elementary and middle school students in the areas of Superior Cognitive Ability, Reading, and Mathematics.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid teaching license with a supplemental gifted endorsement (or be willing to complete coursework to earn a supplemental gifted endorsement) with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
  • A clean BCI/FBI report is required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with identified gifted elementary and middle school students in the areas of Superior Cognitive Ability, Reading and Mathematics.
