About The Position

T-Mobile’s Summer 2027 Software Engineering Internship is an 11-week paid learning experience involving hands-on work, training, mentorship, and projects with real business impact. The team builds applications for frontline customer care agents who communicate directly with customers, supporting the sale, service, and support of T-Mobile users. Interns may work on voice, chat, and other customer care applications intended to help frontline teams resolve customer issues quickly and correctly. The role includes designing, implementing, and testing software components using technologies such as virtualization, microservices, software-defined networking, network functions virtualization, and big data platforms. Relocation assistance is provided to program participants who live more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
  • Have one or more courses remaining in a bachelor's or graduate degree program after the internship.
  • Be adaptable and able to collaborate in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Test applications and support application deployment.
  • Develop and implement software solutions that meet customer requirements and support scalable, highly available environments.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation for software code, system designs, and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver software solutions and communicate technical ideas effectively.
  • Contribute to understanding and applying current and emerging technologies to support business goals.
  • Identify and share ideas for system analysis and continuous improvement of existing processes and services.
  • Design, implement, and test software components for customer care applications.
