About The Position
PIH Health has partnered with the Cerritos College Nursing Program to create a Work Embedded Program, training PIH Health employees to become Registered Nurses (RN). This full-time role involves working at Cerritos College during the academic year (10 months) and at PIH Health during the remaining two months. The Nursing Instructor will uphold the mission and philosophy of both PIH Health and Cerritos College, providing an excellent educational experience for students. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction across various nursing specialties, including the Simulation Skills Lab and diverse healthcare settings (medical-surgical, geriatric, obstetric, pediatric, psychiatric/mental health, community-based). The instructor must be adaptable to teaching different courses, potentially during days, evenings, and/or weekends, and comfortable with in-person, online, and hybrid formats. Strong classroom and clinical teaching skills, teamwork, communication, accountability, flexibility, initiative, and emotional intelligence are essential. Duties extend to curriculum development, student advising, mentoring, committee participation, faculty development, and assisting with accreditation reviews. During the two months at PIH Health, duties will align with organizational needs and the employee's qualifications.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
