About The Position

Requirements

• Prior experience working with infants in a daycare, preschool, or nannying setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers.
• Experience with classroom-management techniques for early childhood environments.
• First aid and CPR certification is required; training will be provided upon hire.
• Ability to engage children through nurturing caregiving, playful learning activities, and positive behavior-management strategies.
• Familiarity with early childhood education best practices and curriculum planning for infant care.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and team members.

Nice To Haves

• Additional training in special education or experience working with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, language development, and social interaction.
• Maintain accurate records of children's daily routines, developmental progress, and health updates.
• Use positive behavior-management strategies that encourage independence and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to share information about children's progress and address concerns.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and stocked with supplies needed for learning and safety.
• Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and infection-control measures.
