About The Position

Our company is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join us in the Green Valley/South Tucson area, who will be required to pass a DOT physical. As a mechanic, you are responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel vehicles and equipment. You will also be required to perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on various diesel vehicles and equipment. Preparing reports on repair and maintenance is an essential task for this job role. You should possess sound knowledge of diesel engine components and their parts. You should have excellent team skills and the ability to complete the work on time. For this job position, you should hold a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Prior experience working as a Diesel Mechanic will be an added advantage for the candidate. You should have strong communication skills as you will be communicating with fellow employees and supervisors on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test that includes marijuana.
  • Working experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Auto Mechanic, or a similar position.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Checking if the functionalities of the vehicles and equipment are working properly.
  • Conducting repairs and diagnostics on the vehicles and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting the faults.
  • Prepare and maintain the diagnostic report for future use.
  • Perform the general maintenance of the vehicle and equipment.
  • Conduct test drives and other routine checks.
  • Perform inspections on the vehicles, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and others.
  • Maintaining cleanliness on the shop floor and surrounding areas.
  • Working in collaboration with the repair team and other team members.
