The Industrial Mechanic III will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment. This role involves planning and scheduling all repairs and maintenance, safely and efficiently performing maintenance tasks to minimize unscheduled downtime, and conducting root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions or failures. The position also includes assisting the General Manager and Superintendent in new equipment purchasing, performing minor electrical tasks, and ensuring compliance with all maintenance and company guidelines. Daily reports must be accurately completed and submitted. The role requires coordinating and assisting contractor activities, including auditing their work for safety, quality, and economy. Additionally, the mechanic will train employees on daily PM and cleaning tasks, maintain an adequate supply of approved chemicals with proper storage and labeling, manage an accurate MSDS/SDS system, and maintain an accurate inventory of parts. The mechanic will respond to reports of broken or faulty items, report safety concerns to management, participate in safety and environmental audits, engage in preventative maintenance processes, and maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards, including 5S Implementation. Other duties as assigned.
