About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician at ProAmpac Beaverton, you’ll be part of the team responsible for keeping production running safely and efficiently. This role provides hands-on experience while working alone and/or alongside experienced maintenance technicians and production staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or equipment repair
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment quickly in a production environment
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on urgency and practical solutions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive maintenance environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (standing, bending, climbing, etc.)
  • Strong teamwork mindset with a safety-first attitude

Nice To Haves

  • technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors, and industrial machinery preferred
  • Exposure to PLCs or automated systems is a plus, but not required and not a primary focus of the role
  • Experience with CMMS or work order systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with equipment breakdowns and helping restore machines to service safely and efficiently
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Learning to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, including motors, sensors, switches, wiring, and controls
  • Assisting with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems used in production equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving basic day-to-day equipment issues, with guidance from experienced technicians as needed
  • Completing work orders and prioritizing tasks based on production needs and urgency
  • Working closely with experienced maintenance technicians and production staff to identify and resolve equipment problems
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records in CMMS or work order systems
  • Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Learning the plant’s equipment, systems, and maintenance processes while developing more advanced troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Identifying potential equipment issues and communicating them to the maintenance team
