About The Position

This position is responsible for being the lead provider at designated sites, functioning as an extension of the medical director at a local level. The Lead Physician will be part of the management team, providing clinical and medical administrative input, updating medical policies and protocols in compliance with all regulatory bodies, and ensuring oversight and quality control for health center operations.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited program as a physician required.
  • Board certified in California as a physician required.
  • English Required.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to plan and be organized.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, take initiative and be flexible and cooperative.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and Company records.
  • Ability to work effectively with both employees and managers.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to patients and employees.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various PC applications, including E-mail, Microsoft Excel, and Word, Internet and networking devices.
  • Required to know, follow and enforce safe work practices, and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and current CA Driver License.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct oversight of the medical provider at a designated site.
  • Working with the Medical Director to ensure adequate provider staffing at a designated site.
  • Working with the administrative team to ensure on-site clinical compliance.
  • Ensuring productivity standards in cooperation with the administrative team, Medical Director, and COO.
  • Leading monthly medical provider meetings at site in partnership with the Medical Director.
  • Participating in monthly Medical Director meetings.
  • Utilizing administrative time.
  • Completing reports and appropriate documentation, including billing and medical records, in a timely manner.
  • Consistently demonstrating and upholding CCCHC’s principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
