In this role you’ll operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks and/or yard vehicles to move materials and products between receiving and storage locations. As well as, utilize computer software to identify materials/goods, ensure accuracy of purchase orders and maintain inventory.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Mobile Equipment Operator
  • 2 years of experience maintaining inventory
  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Steel yard experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operates 8,000-30,000-pound lift truck and boom lifts
  • Operates overhead crane on production line
  • Receives and records stock receipts in ERP system
  • Maintains inventory records and participates in audits for inventory accuracy
  • Pulls materials as requested or in accordance with production schedule and performs material issue transactions in ERP system.
  • Facilitates communication of inventory to maintain stock levels
  • Builds and packages parts or subassembly kits
  • Accounts for all materials and supplies in the store’s facilities
  • Communicate with inside & outside drivers, checking loads in & out
  • Audits goods received into warehouse
  • Maintain and improve quality
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Fill-in as needed so that production goals can be met
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
