About The Position
Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned. The role requires developing and implementing appropriate procedure or treatment plans using established BMG protocols and guidelines. The technologist documents work in accordance with BMG policies and procedures, maintains equipment and work areas in a neat and safe condition, and participates in BMG and departmental Performance Improvement activities to support consistent patient care.
Requirements
- Recent experience as a Sonographer.
- Be registered by ARDMS and/or CCI, or be a new graduate waiting to take the registry.
- Provide proof of registry or certification verified by primary source within 12 months of graduation.
- Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- Have basic computer literacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of radiologic principles and theory, and select appropriate techniques and positioning to achieve optimal procedure or treatment results.
- Develop appropriate procedure or treatment plans.
- Implement procedure or treatment plans using established BMG protocols and guidelines.
- Complete documentation required by BMG policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment, procedure or treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition for patients and staff.
- Participate in BMG and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient care meets established standards.
- Complete assigned goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
