About The Position
In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, the Echocardiographer collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide excellent patient care by performing echocardiograms. The position is at Methodist Southlake Medical Center, a 54-bed acute care hospital serving Southlake, Keller, Grapevine, and northeastern Tarrant County in North Texas. The hospital offers emergency care, advanced surgery, imaging, cardiac catheterization, robotic surgery, and nuclear medicine services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification in adult echo (AE) and/or pediatric echo (PR) is required.
- A written statement from a pediatric cardiologist confirming the applicant is skilled and competent in independently performing all scopes of pediatric echocardiography may be substituted for ARDMS certification.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program.
- Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
