About The Position

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking an Echocardiographer-Vascular Technologist. The role provides quality cardiovascular diagnostic services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, using patient information and age to guide care. When applicable, the technologist demonstrates understanding of patients’ physical and motor, psychosocial, and intellectual/language development needs across age groups.

This is a supplemental or 0.2 FTE position, working 16 hours every pay period on varied shifts. The role requires knowledge of ultrasound standards and procedures, site-specific protocols, equipment, computer systems, and applications. CPR certification must be current or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

• Knowledge of ultrasound standards and procedures, normally acquired through graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Current CPR certification or obtain it within 90 days of hire. Acceptable training includes the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
• Credentials listed as essential: CPR or BLS; RDCS or CCI RCS; and ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS registry credentials.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of clinical ultrasound experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiovascular diagnostic services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Use patient information and age to guide care.
• When applicable, address the physical and motor, psychosocial, and intellectual/language development needs of patients in different age groups.
• Demonstrate competencies in site-specific protocols, equipment, computer systems, and applications.
• Maintain CPR training through independent study, manikin, and knowledge testing.
