About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or Psychology from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of professional experience working with the population served; or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of professional experience working with the population served; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children ages 0–8 and their families, including children with developmental delays.
• Working knowledge of young child development, including developmental milestones.
• Experience working with and collaborating with families and other professionals.
• Working knowledge of evidence-based practices for working with young children and families, such as natural learning environment practices and caregiver coaching.

Responsibilities

• Work with families and team members to develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to determine families’ needs for supports and services.
• Conduct home visits.
• Coordinate services, such as speech and physical therapy.
• Arrange and monitor other early intervention services.
• Plan transitions to other services when children reach age three.
