About The Position

Requirements

• Active RN license to practice in Maryland
• BSN required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background c

Nice To Haves

• MSN preferred
• Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in examining operations, formulating, developing and implementing new strategies and procedures preferred
• Corrections, forensics or criminal justice experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Directing the full nursing team
• Providing clinical, educational and professional supervision for nursing and support staff in the correctional environment
• Works under the direction of the contract manager
• Collaborates with mental health/medical leadership and other members of the multidisciplinary team to improve health care of incarcerated patients
