About The Position

The Director of Nursing provides nursing leadership in an assisted living community. The role requires knowledge of regulations governing nursing practice in assisted living, staff supervision and development, and strong communication and organizational skills. Experience in senior living or related healthcare settings and knowledge of dementia and memory care are preferred. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license in the state where the community is located.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification as required.
• Knowledge of state regulations governing nursing practice in an assisted living environment.
• Nursing leadership experience, including staff supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Strong team-building, conflict-resolution, and employee development skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory care best practices.
