The primary responsibility of the Demand Planner is to analyze inventory levels on assigned accounts and/or commodity item groups, make purchases to sustain demand, achieve a goal of 97.5% fill rate, and provide support to their assigned Inventory Management Team. This role involves managing accounts/commodities of low to medium difficulty, assisting in analyzing inventory levels to forecast needs, executing forecast changes, issuing purchase orders (POs) manually and via AWR, generating and maintaining run-out reports and open PO reports, maintaining AWR, reviewing and following up on daily and weekly reports, following up on open purchase orders, expediting purchase orders as needed, assisting the Supervisor in managing turns and reviewing aged inventory, coordinating new store programs, PPV maintenance, investigating and resolving A/P issues, researching receiving and packaging discrepancies and proactively resolving issues, processing returns to vendors, and processing inventory write-off paperwork for the team. The Demand Planner will also identify cost changes and work with the Supervisor to execute them.
