About The Position
The office of Career and Professional Success (CaPS) is seeking energetic and responsible students to join our team in the Fall! As a Student Ambassador, you will: Research and approve/decline employers in Handshake Post job and internship opportunities for employers on Handshake Assist with coordinating office events Welcome and greet visitors at the front desk, assisting them as needed Monitor the CaPS office e-mail inbox, and handle messages accordingly Assist employers with Handshake, and troubleshoot any Handshake issues Maintain the bulletin boards around campus Attend/work CaPS events (career fairs, workshops, etc.), if interested/available Promote CaPS events, services, and opportunities, through: Career fairs Tabling events In-class presentations Faculty + dean partnerships Workshops Assist with projects and additional office duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Have strong professional phone/email etiquette skills and customer service skills
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong research and problem-solving skills
- Have experience promoting and executing DEAI initiatives
- Be able to learn quickly and adapt to changes
- Be willing to learn processes and technology used in the office
- Be proactive, creative, and a team player
Responsibilities
