About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • Minimum 2 years working with Real-Time Operating Systems.
  • Minimum 2 years developing C/C++ software for real-time embedded systems.
  • Minimum 2 years application development experience.
  • Background in experimental data acquisition, instrumentation, and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years related experience or equivalent advanced degrees.
  • Advanced proficiency in C/C++, C#, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Windows native application development (C#, .NET, C++, Qt).
  • Skilled in relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite.
  • Proficient with Git, GitLab, Docker, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, MATLAB.
  • Experience with IoT, DAQ hardware, control systems, and transducers.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environments.
  • Experience with unit testing, TDD, CI/CD (GitLab CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of time-series file formats (HDF5, TDMS).
  • Experience with native data visualization libraries.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain real-time data management and visualization solutions for high-volume sensor data.
  • Deliver robust applications across CLI tools, native Windows, and web platforms from design through production.
  • Integrate and interface with data acquisition hardware, including transducers and DAQ devices, for data collection and processing.
  • Create intuitive, interactive user interfaces for data analysis and visualization.
  • Build and maintain clean, well-tested APIs and time-series streaming pipelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentorship, and architecture design.
  • Oversee deployment, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and database infrastructure.
  • Contribute to defining the product roadmap and setting technical priorities.
