Azure Cloud Data Engineer(Korean Bilingual)
About The Position
The Cloud Data Engineer designs, implements, maintains, and secures Azure-based data platforms. The role builds and manages data pipelines, data storage solutions, data processing frameworks, and cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence. The engineer works closely with business analysts, Power BI developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions. Responsibilities include developing data integration pipelines; designing data warehouses, data lakes, and data models; administering Azure data services and related infrastructure; managing databases and their availability and recovery; automating operational tasks and supporting CI/CD; and monitoring platforms, resolving production incidents, and supporting business and development teams. Korean bilingual ability is required.
Requirements
- Korean bilingual ability is required.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure ExpressRoute, and Azure Virtual Networks.
- Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
- Knowledge of star schema and dimensional modeling.
- Scripting and programming skills in Python, PowerShell, SQL T-SQL, and PostgreSQL.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of data engineering experience.
- 3+ years of Azure Cloud experience.
- Experience with Power BI environments.
- Experience migrating on-premises systems to Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Build automated batch and near-real-time data integration processes.
- Integrate data from on-premises and cloud systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows.
- Design and maintain data warehouse and data lake architectures.
- Develop logical and physical data models.
- Optimize database schemas, indexes, and partitioning strategies.
- Support historical data retention and archival requirements.
- Manage and support Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database or Azure PostgreSQL, Azure ExpressRoute, gateway servers, and monitoring and logging solutions.
- Configure networking, security groups, and access controls.
- Install and configure databases; tune performance and optimize queries; monitor and maintain databases; manage backup and recovery; plan high availability and disaster recovery; and configure replication and failover.
- Develop scripts and automation for operational tasks.
- Support CI/CD deployment processes.
- Automate monitoring, alerting, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor platform availability and performance.
- Resolve production incidents and identify root causes.
- Maintain SLA and operational standards.
- Provide technical support to business and development teams.
- Complete tasks assigned by management.
