About The Position

The Senior Data Engineer - Reporting Automation & AI designs, develops, and maintains automated reporting solutions to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of risk-reporting processes. The role combines reporting automation, AI-enabled workflows, application development, and technical problem solving to modernize legacy processes and support future-state reporting platforms. The successful candidate works with risk-reporting teams to turn manual, fragmented processes into reliable automated pipelines, bridging raw risk data and accurate, timely reports. This is a net-new hybrid role based in Downtown Chicago. The successful candidate works from the Chicago office three days per week, with Tuesday as a required in-office day. During the first several months, the candidate will become familiar with existing code, risk data, and reporting processes, then help migrate data and code away from SAS toward Anaconda- and Python-based solutions while improving workflow reliability and automation. The role also provides production and end-user support and governance for the risk technical platform and its environment, which supports risk data and control structures. It supports system strategy, maintenance, change management, database and data-governance activities, operational reliability, and delivery of risk-system initiatives. The position works with stakeholders to resolve issues, deliver solutions, monitor performance, support audits, and provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
