About The Position

Sound Income Strategies is seeking a hands-on individual contributor to modernize operational data infrastructure, reporting, and business workflows. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this person will be the primary internal owner of backend data engineering and applied AI automation. The role combines Snowflake expertise, data analysis, and production software engineering to consolidate information from custodians, trading platforms, portfolio reporting systems, and other business sources. The successful candidate will learn how teams work, identify useful improvements, and independently build, deploy, and maintain reliable tools used in employees’ daily work. The position develops and maintains Snowflake data pipelines, integrations, and models; reconciles and validates information from multiple business systems; and builds backend services, internal tools, and automations. It also develops production AI functionality using Anthropic Claude and implements MCP integrations to approved tools and data sources, with appropriate permissions and human review. The role owns solutions from requirements and design through testing, deployment, documentation, adoption, and ongoing support. It monitors and improves data pipelines and AI workflows, safeguards sensitive client and financial data in collaboration with the CTO and Compliance, coordinates with internal teams and external partners, and communicates progress and risks to technical and nontechnical stakeholders. This is a full-time, onsite role at the Fort Lauderdale headquarters; remote candidates are not being considered.

  • Demonstrated ownership of production LLM-powered functionality or agentic workflows, including output evaluation, failure handling, cost management, and appropriate human review.
  • Experience handling sensitive data in a regulated or high-trust environment, with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data-quality skills.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into practical, maintainable tools, with strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
