About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting/Finance major.
• Minimum of ten years of overall experience in FP&A.
• Demonstrated finance leadership experience managing a large manufacturing site or group of sites.
• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint) and SAP.
• Full knowledge of integrated accounting cycle and information systems.
• Past experience in manufacturing finance, including absorption costing.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team.
• Ability to establish systems of internal controls that comply with local and US (Sarbanes–Oxley) regulations.

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification or CMA or MBA with an Accounting/Finance major.

Responsibilities

• Provide business support, financial counsel, and direction to site leadership for all functional areas (e.g., Ops/Manuf./Eng./QA/Supply Chain/R&D) and their respective staff, including support in establishing goals, strategies, priorities, and tactics.
• Set expectations for the financial organization's role in supporting business strategies, ensuring alignment with other functional organizations.
• Manage the development, consolidation, analysis, and explanation/publication of Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), which are forecasts.
• Manage actual financial accounting and reporting for Functional Area Support, ensuring accuracy of financial information and related operational metrics, including comparisons to benchmarks.
• Create ad hoc analyses for business issues and strategic opportunities.
• Own both short- and long-term forecasts, including standard cost projections, full P&L, and Balance Sheet across the site.
• Drive a continuous improvement mindset to achieve year-over-year Gross Margin Improvement in both the short and long term.
• Direct the Operations Finance SH department, supervise employees, and ensure adherence to Human Resources policies and regulations, including developing department and individual goals, performance evaluations, training, and coaching.
• Advise the Indiana SH Plant Director and other staff managers on financial and non-financial activities that impact, complement, or improve facility operations performance.
• Nurture and develop talent within the team.
• Direct and manage all functions and activities associated with the managerial cost accounting section, including budget and strategic plan preparation, manufacturing product costing, manufacturing variance analysis (direct labor, material, and overhead), inventory reconciliations, forecasting, and projections.
• Lead the annual standard cost building process, ensuring cost targets are met.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial statement, quarterly schedules, and year-end financial information packages.
• Ensure adherence to corporate and division due dates for month-end closing and other financial information requirements.
• Lead the timely preparation of monthly performance reports (overhead, absorption, and manufacturing variances).
• Ensure SH operations maintain a strong system of internal accounting controls, including proper segregation of duties, appropriate disbursement of company funds, and safeguarding of all company assets.
• Develop, implement, review, and monitor compliance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures relevant to finance.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for payroll, accounts payable, general ledgers, financial statements, cost accounting, and other finance records in accordance with record retention policies and schedules.
• Adhere to corporate financial policies and manage SOX and other internal/external audit requirements for the site.
