About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial construction with exposure to field supervision.
• Homebuilding experience is not accepted.
• Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, quality control, and safety standards.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs and ladders occasionally, and walk on uneven ground at active construction sites.
• Depth perception sufficient to avoid excavations and other hazards, and ability to hear equipment warning sounds such as horns and sirens.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• K-12 construction experience.
• Proficiency with Procore, scheduling tools such as MS Project or Phoenix, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Champion the company’s Safety & Health program by enforcing safety protocols, identifying risks, and maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and City regulations, with the goal of achieving a zero-incident record on job sites.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager, coordinating labor, materials, and subcontractors using Critical Path Method sequencing.
• Oversee quality control so materials and workmanship meet or exceed project specifications; promptly resolve non-compliant work and maintain accurate documentation.
• Build relationships with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings, preconstruction planning sessions, and Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings.
• Manage equipment, tools, and other resources to meet project demands; coordinate with the Project Manager on budgets, cost control, and staffing needs.
• Ensure timely maintenance and inventory of tools and equipment.
• Maintain an organized and efficient job site and align resources with schedules while upholding quality and safety standards.
• Improve processes to optimize timelines, team performance, and project outcomes within budget.
• Use Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools such as Phoenix Project Manager or MS Project to track daily activities, document progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy in payroll, budgets, and project cost reporting.
• Lead project closeout, including punch-list resolution and final documentation, and ensure deliverables meet client expectations and company standards.
