About The Position

McGuire Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee hospitality, tenant improvement, restaurant, and hotel construction projects across Southern California. The role is based out of the Torrance office and requires strong field leadership, attention to detail, and a proven track record in relevant construction and renovation work. The Superintendent oversees projects on-site to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals are met, while coordinating field teams and maintaining effective relationships with project stakeholders.

Requirements

Proven expertise in tenant improvement, hotel, and restaurant construction or renovations.
Proficiency in Procore is required.
Familiarity with scheduling software and MS Office.
Strong knowledge of California building codes, ADA requirements, construction methods, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites across Southern California.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of construction projects on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Direct and coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications, and contracts.
Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations through regular site inspections and safety meetings.
Conduct quality control checks to meet or exceed client expectations.
Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to project managers and senior leadership.
Maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
