The Construction Project Manager will oversee the design and construction of capital improvement projects at the Training Facility, State Farm Stadium, and other Club controlled properties. This includes coordination with other Arizona Cardinals departments and affiliates, stadium entities, design consultants, permitting authorities, and contractors in executing construction activities while advancing a culture of excellence and a positive, passionate, and creative work environment. The candidate will play a significant role in long-term planning of facility upgrades and system renovations with other Club departments, stadium entities, clients, and contractors. The Construction Project Manager will manage the development of projects from inception through completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field.
  • Experience: At least four (4) years of Construction Project Management experience.
  • Clear understanding of the organization's corporate identity.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of design techniques and emerging technologies.
  • Driven and self-motivated.
  • Ability to multi-task and independently solve problems.
  • Ability to deal with stressful & time sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of project design and construction processes.
  • Advanced understanding of variety of software applications, including project tracking / management tools and general business applications.
  • Consistently takes initiative to complete tasks and projects with limited supervision.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders regarding design projects, progress and deadlines.
  • Maintain professional attitude, be adaptable and receptive to project changes and truncated schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • This role will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility on/at construction sites for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project feasibility analysis and cost estimates.
  • Participate in the Capital Expenditure planning process, including assessment of current facilities and the creation of options for replacement or improvements.
  • Coordinate and maintain construction schedules with internal teams, external designers, and contractors.
  • Coordinate the selection of design teams, contractors and other consultants.
  • Manage all quotes and invoices, maintain an ongoing invoice database or spreadsheet, code and submit all invoices for payment, and provide project financial tracking. Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts for all active projects.
  • Work with Director of Construction to prepare project scopes, design concepts and cost estimates in evaluating various construction options.
  • Set protocols and expectations with all consultants and contractors to ensure that quality projects are completed safely, in a cost-effective manner and on schedule.
  • Identify opportunities to improve design and production workflows, promoting efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Analyze cost estimates, negotiate with vendors, and drive cost-effective solutions.
  • Source, recommend, and assign construction vendors based on project needs.
  • Utilize personal experience and knowledge to identify creative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on scope, and within budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.
