About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field, or five years of equivalent work experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in healthcare project management, commercial construction, or facilities planning/capital project management.
• Ability to implement NCHS procedures to ensure safety and security.
• Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD computer-aided design software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and project management software.
• Ability to prepare project scope, budget, and schedule documents.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and construction delivery strategies.

Nice To Haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute multiple construction and renovation projects within program, budget, safety, and schedule constraints.
• Prepare project management plans for assigned projects.
• Coordinate projects with impacted NCHS stakeholders and communicate project impacts and status to appropriate parties.
• Develop move and equipment management plans and lead their implementation.
• Manage project procurement and participate in contract negotiations resulting from Request for Proposal selection.
• Obtain required hospital approvals and submit documentation to appropriate departments for purchase order issuance.
• Document project information accurately and promptly; maintain current, complete, and accurate project files and electronic records.
• Ensure compliance with AHCA, ADA, NFPA, OSHA, and local building codes; follow up on issues and take corrective measures as needed.
• Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans to avoid delays and cost overruns.
• Review project progress and status, identify activities needed, and ensure deliverables, milestones, and required tasks are completed by deadlines.
• Assist with developing and delivering project management training and workshops, and with process improvement initiatives.
