About The Position
Mind & Mobility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality in-home care to clients. The caregiver assists with personal care, activities of daily living, mobility, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship, working with clients, families, and the care team to support a safe, respectful environment that promotes independence and quality of life. This is a PRN, as-needed position. Work hours are flexible and depend on caregiver availability and client needs. The organization works with caregivers to build schedules that align with their preferred hours and availability whenever possible. The position is located in New Port Richey and is described as a day shift with short shifts.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional caregiving or home care experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Complete a Level 2 background screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Nice To Haves
- CNA license, HHA certificate, or verifiable medical background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare meals and cook according to clients’ dietary needs and restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning and organizing clients’ living spaces.
- Monitor and record vital signs, provide medication reminders, and complete medical documentation as required.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
- Provide errands or transportation as needed.
