About The Position

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Reno, Nevada, to provide assistance with daily living and personal care in patients’ homes, following a physician-established plan of care. The role provides one-on-one care in a familiar setting and includes companionship, monitoring, documentation, and communication with patients’ families and healthcare providers. This is a 1099 independent-contractor role with day shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; additional shifts may become available. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. CNAs are eligible for a $1,000 bonus after 90 days of successful employment. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.

Requirements

Current CPR certification.
Current First Aid certification.
TB test and physical examination.
Ability to monitor vital signs.
Good interpersonal skills.
Caring and compassionate personality.
Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move patients.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

Work with patients in their homes to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.
Adhere to each patient’s established plan of care.
Execute the physician-prescribed plan of care and maintain compliant documentation in the system of record.
Monitor vital signs, temperature, respiration, and other measurements according to the plan of care.
Maintain records and documentation of daily services.
Communicate with patients’ families, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding patients’ health and care.
