CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
West Bend is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to support residents in a warm, homelike environment. The role centers on promoting residents’ well-being, dignity, respect, and individualized care while building meaningful relationships with residents and staff. CNAs provide assistance with daily living, mobility, meals, companionship, and emotional support, and work with nursing and healthcare teams to coordinate care. The position is offered on full-time day and evening shifts and part-time night shifts. West Bend is a facility of American Senior Communities (ASC), an Indiana long-term care provider. Requirements
- Hold valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Indiana.
- Be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and assisting with resident mobility.
- Have a strong passion for geriatric nursing and a commitment to senior care excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to create a comforting and engaging atmosphere.
- Collaborate with nursing and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning, to prevent discomfort and promote independence.
- Assist residents during mealtimes, supporting proper nutrition intake and individual dietary needs.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
