About The Position

Requirements

• 15 ½ years of age or older.
• Must be a United States citizen or have the current legal right to work in the United States.
• Requirements vary and are based on the department and specific internship role.
• Must be enrolled in a continuing education, traditional education, or training program.
• Must meet grant criteria for funding.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Associate Civil Engineer on project-based tasks by conducting research and helping review and organize documents such as as-builts, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) reports, and site inspection data, with all activities completed under their guidance as the intern learns these processes.
• Support the Associate Civil Engineer in preparing project-specific maps and graphics using ArcGIS, CADD, and/or Bluebeam, with all work performed under the direction of the Associate Civil Engineer.
• Assisting with planning events.
• Conducting research.
• Collecting and analyzing data.
• Assisting with projects.
• Preparing reports and presentations.
• Attending internal and external stakeholders’ meetings.
• Field work.
