About The Position

Requirements

• 3–5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
• Leadership and/or supervisory experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer with operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection, curtainwall, and building management systems.
• Under the Chief Engineer’s direction, supervise and direct contractors and monitor their performance.
• Assist with formulating and implementing the preventive maintenance program.
• Assist with training and supervising the engineering team to expand its capabilities.
• Maintain the work order system and complete tenant service requests.
• Respond effectively to emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with the client and building occupants or tenants.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts.
• Comply with safety procedures and policies for the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
• Complete other assigned projects and tasks.
• Maintain an on-site presence.
