Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive culinary experience with a private club, hotel, or upscale restaurant.
  • Experience placing food orders, managing inventory, and tracking costs.
  • Strong culinary techniques and food knowledge.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the executive chef to develop fresh seasonal menus.
  • Manage the daily food service operations.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and safety across all dining areas.
  • Lead the team in delivering efficient meal service.
  • Train staff as needed to continue elevating and improving culinary efforts.
  • Support the executive chef in maintaining high food quality, safety, and presentation standards across all the club's dining outlets.
  • Oversee vital kitchen activities like food purchasing, receiving, and rotating.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked food inventory.
  • Coordinate prep schedules based on the upcoming day's dining needs.
  • Effectively train, supervise, and motivate line cooks and prep cooks.
  • Enforce strict food safety and sanitation standards to ensure the kitchen is always clean, organized, and inspection-ready.
  • Assist with menu creation, culinary programming, and additional duties as needed.
