About The Position
The Addison of Clermont, a premier retirement community in Clermont, FL, is seeking a Cook to join their Culinary Services team. This role is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner, while also assisting the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department. The community utilizes cutting-edge technology to enhance resident care and improve staff efficiency.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
- High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
- Ability to read and understand recipes.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing.
Nice To Haves
- Some supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
- Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
- Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
- Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
- Cleans work area, pots, and equipment after preparation and service.
- Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.
