About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in a business-related field; one additional year of experience may substitute for one year of required education, up to a maximum of four years.
• At least one year of experience as a buyer, preferably in manufacturing.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Knowledge and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to analyze supply-chain data and contribute to improvements.
• Ability to gather and evaluate information for material forecasts.
• Ability to analyze cost comparisons.
• Knowledge and proficiency in INFOR and Oracle 10.7 and R12.
• Ability to perform light physical work, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and standing or using force equivalent to handling materials up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand and summary statistics to determine replenishment volumes based on desired stock levels.
• Work within established EOQ standards for suppliers.
• Purchase assigned SKUs while maintaining availability above 96%.
• Elevate constraints to the supply chain team.
• Manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
• Manage on-site and off-site inventories.
• Manage logistics for related direct-material replenishment where necessary.
• Manage outsourced finished goods, including supply-and-demand pro formas by product.
• Manage treated-paper hours for Low Pressure departments and reassign Low Pressure back orders.
• Work closely with the Oxford production team and Temple Low Pressure teams.
• Provide scheduling backup for the Oxford facility.
