About The Position

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio or a Compact license valid for practice in Ohio at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent behavioral health nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• At least 18 months of permanent nursing experience in a short-term acute care hospital prior to traveling.
• Current Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience with behavioral health practices such as milieu management, medication administration, patient assessment, and clinical documentation.
• Provide recent professional references from nursing leadership such as a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients experiencing mental health conditions requiring hospitalization and stabilization.
• Manage therapeutic environments and support patient safety.
• Assist with treatment plans designed to improve mental health outcomes.
• Conduct patient assessments.
• Administer medications.
• Maintain structured therapeutic care within the behavioral health unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
