About The Position

The Breakfast Cook and Baker is responsible for preparing breakfast and service, plus preparing all baked items, as outlined in a predetermined menu plan. LandSea provides accommodation and catering solutions for workforces in remote locations throughout BC. Our camps are located in remote areas and staff live on-site on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks. Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation, ensuite or shared bathroom, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff. Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 10-12 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply. Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea. Our camps are drug and alcohol-free workplaces and require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years' previous experience as a breakfast cook, line cook, baker or similar role
  • High production baking experience while maintaining a minimum of 70% scratch baking
  • Knowledge of breakfast food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Great communication. Speak, read and write English
  • Team player who can provide support, motivation, and encouragement to others
  • LandSea and site-specific Orientation and Health and Safety
  • Drug and Alcohol Clearance
  • Criminal Record Check Clearance
  • Health Questionnaire
  • Valid Government Issued ID for travel if required
  • Two (2) references from former employers required

  • Food Safe Certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast items such as eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, breakfast meats, and other menu offerings.
  • Set up and stock cooking stations before service.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portion standards, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products.
  • Work efficiently during busy breakfast service periods.
  • Support other kitchen staff as needed.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations after service.
