About The Position

The Works is seeking a baker to prepare and bake signature items such as bagels, artisan breads, and other baked goods at its Concord, New Hampshire café. The role is suited to someone who enjoys early mornings, working behind the scenes, and working independently. The company is open to training candidates with a passion for baking; paid training is provided if hired. Shifts run from 2:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Be ready to work before dawn.
• Have good organizational skills and the ability to follow directions and make a plan.
• Be detail-oriented.
• Have weekend availability.
• Have prior experience in food preparation and service.
• Be able to stand and walk for periods of 8 or more hours per shift.
• Be able to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects repeatedly during a shift.

Nice To Haves

• Food preparation or baking experience is preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently between tasks.
• A passion for baking.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently prepare and bake bagels, artisan breads, and other baked goods.
• Follow food safety standards at all times.
