About The Position

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained, and complete daily inspections before operating them.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel or fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected money secure.
• Pick up customer returns, including new, warranty, and core returns, and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Fill the fuel tank and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the business day.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, such as customer service, sweeping, stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and checking in and putting up stock orders.
• Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, or help with merchandising, phones, sales, and service as business needs dictate.
