About The Position

Requirements

• One to two years’ experience and/or training
• Current Kentucky Driver’s License’s with a Class B CDL endorsement, preferred

Nice To Haves

• Certification from state approved course, preferred
• Enjoy working with seniors in a long-term care or healthcare setting
• Creative, outgoing, and comfortable leading group activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage residents with varying abilities
• Organized, dependable, and able to document resident progress accurately

Responsibilities

• Lead group and individual activities such as arts & crafts, games, music, drama, and light exercise
• Adapt activities to residents’ abilities, interests, and care plans
• Assist with sensory stimulation, art therapy, and music therapy programs
• Teach simple relaxation and stress-reduction techniques
• Help create the monthly activity calendar
• Document resident participation and progress for the care team
• Support volunteers and student interns
• Manage activity supplies and equipment needs
