About The Position
A General Arts Teacher at Gov. Wallace Rider Farrington High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, delivers foundational and advanced visual arts education within Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) standards. The role integrates traditional art instruction with Farrington's school-wide career academy model, particularly aligned with the Creative Arts and Technology (CAT) Academy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum qualification for teacher, librarian, or counselor positions, with exceptions for designated CTE positions).
- Must obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
- If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, must obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license within 3 years and enroll in a Program to continue employment.
- Must satisfactorily demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements each year of employment.
- Ensure the enrolled program is aligned with the teaching line hired in.
