About The Position

Requirements

• Hold a valid Colorado (CDE) teaching license with an art endorsement (visual arts or equivalent.)
• Proficiency in using technology.

Responsibilities

• Enjoys working with elementary students.
• Demonstrates ability to teach the full spectrum of art education.
• Demonstrates understanding of scope and sequence of art curriculum and programs.
• Strong knowledge of content area, teaching methods, learning styles and educational research related to elementary level learners.
• Demonstrated ability to make a positive impact on student achievement and to differentiate instruction to support the needs of diverse learners.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills evidenced through collaborative work with students, teachers, parents and administrators.
• Strong communication, organization, and human relations skills.
• Willing to use PowerSchool for online attendance, online grade book, online posting of assignments, and parental access to attendance and grades.
• Ability and desire to work as a team member.
